Abstract:

Trigonometry plays a crucial role in architecture engineering by providing architects and engineers with the necessary tools to design and construct buildings, bridges and other structures with precision and accuracy. This study explored the application of trigonometry in architecture engineering, explaining fundamental concepts of trigonometry .The study highlighted how they are used in different areas of architecture engineering through calculating angles, distances , heights and other geometric properties essentially for architectural design especially in determining the heights of buildings, calculating roof slopes, designing staircases , determining the length of diagonal beam using different methods and such methods included visual aids, site visitations , real life examples, problem solving method, case studies, diagrams and illustrations. These methods were used to achieve the objectives of the study which include; to explain the fundamental concepts of trigonometry, to find out different areas of architecture engineering and to explain how different trigonometry concepts are applied in specific areas of architecture engineering. Using these methods, the study explored the important applications of trigonometry concepts in architecture engineering such as in determining the height of a building, calculating roof slopes, designing staircases, determining the length of the beam, location of points and fixing tiles on multiple space.
