The University of Saint Joseph Mbarara (USJM) recently hosted a delegation from the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) for a series of high-level engagements aimed at assessing the university’s progress toward attaining its Charter. The meetings brought together key stakeholders, including members of the Governing Council, Board of Trustees, University Administration, Pillars, staff, and student representatives.

These engagements provided an important platform for dialogue, evaluation, and collaboration, as NCHE reviewed the institution’s academic standards, governance structures, infrastructure, and overall readiness for Charter status.
