University of Saint Joseph Mbarara successfully held its Guild Presidential Debate today at the Pillars Block, bringing together candidates contesting for the guild presidency. The event provided a platform for each candidate to clearly present their vision, policy priorities, and proposed solutions to issues affecting students across campus.
Throughout the session, candidates addressed key areas such as academic welfare, student representation, campus facilities, and overall student experience. The debate also included moments of direct engagement, where candidates responded to questions and shared practical approaches to leadership and accountability.
Students in attendance had the opportunity to listen, compare ideas, and better understand the leadership styles and commitments of each contestant. The debate played an important role in preparing the student body to make informed decisions as the guild elections approach, while also encouraging active participation in university governance.
